An Open Letter To Mr. Werth

Dear JaYson,

PEACE.

Yours truly,
Someone who thought your beard looked like my ass crack.

  1. The deal makes no sense. The Nats are not in a position to win now, essentially throwing away money. Werth isn't a player to build around. He's a missing piece/complementary player for a playoff contender.

According to Arod's Wikipedia page, which is a reliable source because even Adam Samples had his own page for a brief stint citing his Rolling Stone Man of the Year Award, "In an article written years later in the Daily News, Alex Rodriguez said how he regretted signing with the Texas Rangers and wished he had signed with the New York Mets rather than Texas. Rodriguez stated how he listened to his agent Scott Boras about taking more money instead and did not want to make the same mistake of not being on a team he liked playing for by leaving the Yankees."

Werth is older than Arod was at that that point in Arod's career and did not have the same earning potential, but come April, when the Nats are out of contention, Werth might end up feeling the same way.
